The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it's alarmed regarding the higher quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office devoted to service the area each day. The assistance issue produced for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to help the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
